Miss Caitlyn Metz
Miss Caitlyn Metz is a mom, partner, Disney lover, tea drinker with a passion for theatre and children's education! She has been involved in local theatre since the age of 5 when she performed in her first show, "The 3 Little Pigs Go West", where she was a skunk. Her love for playing different characters only grew from there. She traveled all across Northeastern United States performing in shows and taking workshops to learn more about the art of theatre. Through working with many industry professionals in all capacities, she was able to form her own style of teaching.
Caitlyn directed her first children's show at the age of 15 and was bit by the teacher bug. From then on she owned a performing arts conservatory and taught every day of the week. She taught dance and theatre, but theatre is her true passion. When the conservatory closed in February 2020, Caitlyn knew she needed to reopen a theatre company.
Metz Theatricals is a culmination of all of the learning and education that she has learned. She hopes that this company acts as a landing place for all students who find home on the stage. This company focuses on learning the ins and outs of theatre from the actor to the lights, set to costuming. Each student will be involved in every aspect of our workshops and may find a passion in another facet of this art.
Caitlyn is a lover of learning and continues to learn and grow as a thespian herself. Although her 1 year old son, Matthew, has taken over what time used to be dedicated to rehearsals, Caitlyn is currently working on her certification through Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, for a certification in Performing Arts Essentials.
As she continues to learn, Miss Caitlyn brings new and innovative ways to teach her students.
