Miss Caitlyn Metz
Miss Caitlyn Metz is a mom, daughter, Disney lover, tea drinker with a passion for theatre and children's education! She has been involved in local theatre since the age of 5 when she performed in her first show, "The 3 Little Pigs Go West", where she was a skunk. Her love for playing different characters only grew from there. She traveled all across Northeastern United States performing in shows and taking workshops to learn more about the art of theatre. Through working with many industry professionals in all capacities, she was able to form her own style of teaching.
At the age of 15 Caitlyn added a new role; teacher. At the age of 19 Caitlyn took over Take the Stage Performing Arts Center, which she grew to Take the Stage Conservatory. At the conservatory she taught dance, vocal, and theater. But, her true passion has always been children’s theater education. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the conservatory to close, but Caitlyn knew the area needed a youth theater company. Metz Theatricals was born in 2021.
Metz Theatricals is a culmination of all of the learning and education that she has learned. She hopes that this company acts as a landing place for all students who find home on the stage. This company focuses on learning the ins and outs of theatre. This goes far beyond learning lines and blocking, students research roles, learn about set design, lights, sound, and may other things. Each student will be involved in every aspect of our workshops and may find a passion in another facet of this art.
Caitlyn is a lover of learning and continues to learn and grow as a thespian herself. Although her sons Matthew & Jack have taken over what time used to be dedicated to rehearsals, Caitlyn has completed many classes and received many certificates including from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, for a certification in Performing Arts Essentials.
Outside of Metz Theatricals, Caitlyn is a Pre-K teacher and teachers dance at Symmetry Dance Studio in Moosic, PA.
